True to form, the BMW engineers designed the M3/M4's oil cooler with efficient space use in mind. Suspended perpendicular from the rest of the cooling stack, this location utilizes the Bimmer's aerodynamics in order to cool the oil, all while putting the lightweight, tube-and-fin cooler in harm's way of road hazards.
