Replacement Brake Pads for VTT Brake Kits

Keep a compatible VTT brake kit ready for street, drag-strip, or track service with correctly matched replacement pads. Pad shape and compound vary by caliper, so identify the installed caliper and existing pad before ordering.

Pad and Caliper Identification

VTT kits use several pad shapes, including Dynalite single-hole, Dynapro twin-hole, 6-piston Dynapro style 6712, and 4-piston Dynapro style 7812. Compare the retaining-hole orientation, pad outline, thickness, and caliper model to the existing parts before making a selection.

Compound Guidance

  • BP-10: street use and occasional competition; commonly selected for rear applications
  • BP-20: more aggressive friction for competition-oriented front or rear use
  • BP-28: high-friction option for selected 6-piston packages
  • Hawk Performance Ceramic: street-focused option intended for quieter operation and reduced dust
  • Hawk HPS/Q and VTT street/race choices: application-specific alternatives for supported calipers

Brake balance, rotor material, tire, vehicle weight, heat range, and intended use all affect the correct compound choice.

Available Applications

Options include supported VTT 4-piston and 6-piston front kits, rear drag-brake kits, G8X rear applications, and selected Audi/VW rear drag packages. The option name must match the installed VTT caliper and kit.

Installation and Bedding

Brake work must be performed by qualified personnel. Inspect rotors, calipers, seals, pins, and hardware before installation. Confirm free pad movement and full rotor contact, then follow the pad manufacturer’s current bedding procedure before hard use.
