VTT BMW/Toyota 5×112-to-5×114.3 Wheel-Stud Conversion Kit

Run compatible 5×114.3 wheels on supported BMW and Toyota 5×112 hubs with a purpose-built stud conversion. The stepped stud uses an M14x1.25 hub-side thread and an M12x1.50 wheel-side thread for broad wheel and lug-nut compatibility.

Critical Wheel Requirement

The wheel mounting holes must have adequate clearance for an M14 stud. Wheels drilled only for M12 hardware will not fit and must not be forced onto the studs. Verify wheel-hole diameter, offset, brake clearance, and hub-center compatibility before installation.

Centering and Installation

No centering sleeves are used; the lug seats center the wheel. Apply medium-strength threadlocker to the short hub-side thread, install the studs to 10 ft-lb, mount the wheel, and tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification. Recheck torque after 25–50 miles.

Finish Care

Black oxide is a protective conversion finish, not a permanent barrier coating. Exposure to moisture and road salt can produce surface oxidation. A light film of WD-40 or a comparable corrosion inhibitor can help preserve the finish.
