VTT BMW S58 Billet One-Way Crankcase Breather
A compact oil-cap-mounted breather for supported BMW S58 applications. It can supplement a compatible factory PCV system or be incorporated into a properly designed external crankcase-ventilation arrangement while retaining the engine cover on verified applications.
Construction
- CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum body
- Black-anodized finish
- Four stainless-steel internal baffles
- PTFE one-way check ball
- Serviceable filter and retaining clamp
- Approximately 2.5 inches tall from the oil-cap area with a filter approximately 2.75 inches in diameter
Fitment and Clearance
Fits supported S58 engines using the common oil-fill-cap interface. Hood-clearance fitment has been verified on G8X M3/M4 and S58-powered X3M/X4M applications. Other S58 models may differ; lower the hood carefully by hand and verify clearance before fully closing it.
Service Requirement
This is a service item. Oil separated from crankcase vapor accumulates in the filter and breather assembly. Inspect and clean the filter and internal components periodically. Engines with substantial crankcase vapor may saturate the filter quickly and can emit oil mist if service is delayed.
