VTT BMW N55 Stage 1 JB Turbocharger Upgrade

Increase airflow while retaining the customer’s original N55 turbine housing. This package supplies a new CHRA and compressor housing for a stock-location installation with factory oil, coolant, downpipe, and charge-pipe connections.

Power Capability

Supported power range: stock through approximately 425 WHP with the required fuel, airflow, engine, drivetrain, and calibration package.

Important Package Detail

This product includes the CHRA and compressor housing only. It must be installed into the customer’s compatible original turbine housing. The turbine housing is not included.

Construction

  • New VTT compressor housing
  • VTT reverse-design billet compressor wheel
  • New stock-size turbine wheel
  • Compatible with the original plastic electronic diverter valve
  • Optional Turbosmart Kompact or GFB DV+ upgrade

Fitment and Installation

Vehicle and turbocharger revisions changed around the 2013 model year. Specify the exact model, production date, and wastegate configuration. The original turbine housing must be inspected and prepared by a qualified turbocharger technician. VTT recommends the appropriate N55 installation kit.

No Additional Core Charge

No additional core charge is required for the supplied CHRA/compressor package. Any installation-package price covers turbocharger installation only; added parts and labor are separate.

Warranty

VTT turbocharger systems include a one-year limited warranty. Review the current warranty, installation, oil, and emissions terms during checkout.

Competition Use Only

These parts are legal for use only in competition racing vehicles as defined under California law and are not legal for use in any other motor vehicle. California law defines a racing vehicle as a competition vehicle not used on public highways (California Health & Safety Code 39048). Competition-only vehicles must be operated exclusively on a closed course in conjunction with a sanctioned racing event and transported to the event by trailer or other carrier. Use in any other vehicle may violate federal and/or state law, void the VTT warranty, and void the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. The purchaser is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
