VTT N54 Head Port Block-Off Kit

Seal the six factory low-side PCV vacuum ports machined into the BMW N54 cylinder head. Blocking these passages prevents the intake manifold from drawing crankcase oil vapor through the original internal PCV path when the engine is converted to an external PCV system.

Why Block the Head Ports?

The factory low-side PCV path uses manifold vacuum through internal cylinder-head passages. On a modified PCV system, leaving these passages active can continue drawing oil vapor into the intake manifold and contribute to intake-valve deposits.

Installation

This procedure requires tapping the existing head ports. Protect the intake ports from debris, use the supplied tap correctly, clean every passage thoroughly, and install the set screws with an appropriate fuel- and oil-resistant thread sealant. Professional installation is strongly recommended.

Compatibility

For BMW N54 engines. This kit is intended to support a correctly engineered external PCV configuration; it is not a complete crankcase-ventilation system by itself.
