VTT BMW N20 Stage 1 Turbocharger Upgrade

Upgrade a supported BMW N20 with an all-new factory-location turbocharger engineered for responsive street and competition builds. VTT-specific castings and modern compressor and turbine aerodynamics increase airflow while retaining the original oil, coolant, downpipe, and charge-pipe connection locations.

Power Capability

Supported power range: stock through approximately 350 WHP with the required fuel, airflow, engine, drivetrain, and calibration package.

Key Design Features

  • All-new VTT castings with factory restrictions revised
  • Point-milled 9-blade billet compressor wheel
  • 52 mm G25-spec 9-blade Mar-M 246 superalloy turbine wheel
  • Revised bearing-housing oiling
  • Upgraded thrust-bearing system
  • Direct connections for the factory oil lines, coolant lines, downpipe, and charge pipe

No Core Charge

The turbocharger is sold outright with no core charge. Keep the original unit for future service, resale, or returning the vehicle to its previous configuration.

Fitment and Installation

Confirm the exact N20 vehicle, production date, electronic wastegate configuration, and installed plumbing before ordering. Professional installation and a complete inspection of the oil supply, oil drain, coolant lines, charge system, and crankcase ventilation system are required.

Calibration and Warranty

A compatible calibration is required. VTT turbocharger systems include a 12-month limited warranty; review the current warranty, oil, installation, and emissions requirements before purchase.

Competition Use Only

These parts are legal for use only in competition racing vehicles as defined under California law and are not legal for use in any other motor vehicle. California law defines a racing vehicle as a competition vehicle not used on public highways (California Health & Safety Code 39048). Competition-only vehicles must be operated exclusively on a closed course in conjunction with a sanctioned racing event and transported to the event by trailer or other carrier. Use in any other vehicle may violate federal and/or state law, void the VTT warranty, and void the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. The purchaser is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
